Safran Reosc (Subsidiary of Safran Electronics & Defense) World leader in high performance optomechanical systems

Safran Reosc designs innovative instruments dedicated to Astronomy, Space, Defense and Laser Industry. Our optomechanical components (mirror, lenses assemblies) meet the most demanding requirements of international scientific programs for world-wide customers (ESO, DGA, IABG, OHB, Airbus, Thales) and for the main world Space Agencies (ESA, KARI, JAXA, ISRO, NSPO)

Our expertise

Opto-Mechanical Engineering

We design high performance systems:
- optical design (Code V, Zemax, ASAP)
- mechanical design (Catia, ANSYS)
- thin film design
- metrology & test bench design

Precision Optics Manufacturing

We polish, control and coat high precision optics (plane, spherical, aspherical or free-form) to the nanometer accuracy, with a significant differentiator for large-size optics (up to 4m diameter).
We provide thin-film optical coatings on pixels to large optics.

High Precision Integration

We assemble, integrate, bond, clean and test high precision opto-mechanical systems in our Class 100 room for Space & Industry applications.

Optics Machining & Polishing

We machine, lighten, polish and coat glass or vitroceramic. Leader on large & precision SiC mirror, we developed our own R-SiC polishing layer (Space & Cryo qualified).

Metrology & Surfacing machines

Based on our renowned expertise for high precision optics manufacturing, we propose surfacing and metrology machines, delivered with an image analysis software.

High precision Metrology solutions

We propose metrology solutions from standard interferometric test bench, deflectometry, to stitching method to control plano and free form surfaces to nm accuracy, for optics size from mm to 4 m.

Coatings

UV to IR (filters, AR, polarizer, dichroic, linear filters), imaging sensors (AR, pixelated filters), mirrors (Al, gold, silver, dielectrics), laser (AR, HR, polarizer), metallic thermal barrier, sub-wavelength photonic filters, polishable coatings.
