Program Management & Quality

Safran Electronics & Defense Canada Inc. développe, produit et maintient des calculateurs et des systèmes embarqués pour applications aéronautiques et de défense.

Program Management

Safran Reosc has long practice of modern project management per hi-tech industry standards like ESA rules.

As soon as the project is starting, a Project Manager is designated. His missions and responsibilities are :

  • to interface with the customer in relation with the Sales Engineer on all matters,
  • to coordinate the various services,
  • to identify the risks that could put the project in danger and propose mitigation dispositions,
  • to ensure conformity of the product to its definition,
  • to maintain the master schedule of the project, ensure adequate respect of the defined milestones of the project: Preliminary Design Review PRD, Critical Design Review (CDR), Delivery Review Board (DRB),
  • to do periodic internal reporting, tracking the evolution of the expenses.

For small projects Safran Reosc has defined an internal simplified organization aiming to speed up the project and reduce the expenses without any sacrifice on the technical performance of the delivered product.     

Quality

Safran Reosc is certified ISO 9001 / v2000. We also have reached Bronze Grade for Health, Security & Environment per Safran internal rules. 

The main missions and responsibilities of our quality team are :

  • to make the client's voice heard and understood everywhere in the company,
  • to stimulate continuous improvement in our processes within the orientations and methodologies defined by the Group,
  • Guarantee performance via suitable tools, methods and behaviours,
  • To deploy a simple quality system embraced by everybody.    

Lean-6 Sigma methodologies are developed per Safran directions and our Green Belt coordinate their efforts with Safran Black Belt and Master Balck Belt community.

Export Control & Trade Compliance

Some of Safran Reosc products are subject to Export Control by the French Administration. For this aspect we strictly follow all the rules and methodologies within organization set-up by our parent company Safran Electronics & Defense.

In the same manner, Safran Reosc is following the Trade Compliance rules and corresponding organisation Safran has implemented through the whole Group.
